Electric Center, 1200 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver, Washington, on Tuesday, June 18, 2019.

At 9:00a.m., President Barnes called the meeting to order for the transaction of formal business. Commissioner Barnes noted a quorum was present and the agenda (Materials B) was approved as submitted.
Consideration of the Minutes of June 4, 2019
There were no changes or corrections.
Public Comment- Non Agenda Items
There were no public comments.
Consideration of Accounts Payable
The board, by a unanimous vote, approved the following payment amounts as listed on the Letter of Transmittal dated June 13, 2019 from the District Auditor (Materials C):
Electric Revenue Fund – $5,005,983.33
Water Revenue Fund- $1,852,361.06
Generating System Fund – $702,098.06
For a total of $7,560,443.36
Safety Review
Safety and Environmental Manager Tommy Jensen provided an update on the safety program at Clark Public Utilities. The board received safety manuals and Mr. Jensen described the various strategies our employees use to identify and avoid hazards while working.
Earth Day Fest Recap
StreamTeam Program Coordinator Ashley King provided a recap of the 2019 Earth Day Fest event (Materials D), which continues to draw more than a thousand local volunteers and fair attendees who plant trees, pick up trash, pull invasive weeds and then celebrate Earth Day at the free festival. Environmental Resources Manager Jeff Wittler noted that the program has seen consistent growth in the time the Ms. King has coordinated the volunteers and produced the StreamTeam events.
Commissioner Reports and Comments
Commissioner Van Dyke reported on her attendance at the American Public Power Association Conference, Public Power Council CAISO training and Public Power Council June meetings. Commissioner Barnes reported on her attendance at the Public Power Council meetings and Columbia Springs Board meeting.
Staff Reports
Director of Operations Gene Morris provided the board with an update on Lineman Rodeo plans for the remainder of the year.
