CLARK PUBLIC UTILITIES RANKED HIGHEST IN SEGMENT FOR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION BY J.D. POWER, THIRTEEN YEARS IN A ROW
VANCOUVER, WA – Dec. 16, 2020 – For the thirteenth consecutive year, J.D. Power recognizes Clark Public Utilities for ranking highest in residential customer satisfaction among midsize electricity providers in the Western United States.
The J.D. Power 2020 Electric Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study measures customer satisfaction with residential electric utilities by examining six key factors, which cover all areas of utility operations: power quality and reliability; price; billing and payment; corporate citizenship; communications and customer care. In all of these categories, customers gave Clark Public Utilities the highest score in the West midsize segment.
“The J.D. Power study offers detailed insights into how customers view our utility’s performance from one year to the next,” said Jane Van Dyke, president of the Clark Public Utilities Board of Commissioners. “The fact that we’ve ranked highest in our segment ever since we became eligible to participate in this study reflects a commitment at every level of the organization to prioritize our customer’s interests, satisfaction and confidence.”
J.D. Power designs and finances the study, a standardized measure of satisfaction available for the electric residential utility industry. More than 96,000 residential electric utility customers throughout the U.S. responded online to the study. Based on these responses, the study compared 143 electric utility brands, collectively serving over 98 million households.
“Earning top marks thirteen years in a row is an extraordinary achievement,” said Lena Wittler, CEO and General Manager of Clark Public Utilities. “But, as proud as we all are, we understand that there is still room for growth. The J.D. Power study offers a rigorous and comprehensive review of our performance in the last year, and we will embrace its results to become a better utility in the eyes of our customers.”
The West region covers Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Washington and Wyoming. Midsize utilities in the report serve between 100,000 and 499,999 residential customers.
